About Us
Dr. Steve Whitelaw and Dr. Eric Walker have spent years studying biomechanics and kinematics (movement) of occupants during automobile collisions. It has always been their philosophy that understanding what occurs to body during a crash, results in better treatment of the injuries. They are actively involved with annual car crash testing using both live human subjects as well as a crash test dummies. All of these advanced studies have led to them being leaders in their professional fields.
As with better understanding of trauma comes the need for better diagnostic capabilities of the injury(s). This led them towards digital motion x-ray (DMX). Being able to actually view the spine and supporting joints in motion has changed the approach of treatment. For example, ten years ago, the way doctors thought whiplash injury occurred was completely different to the now known actual cause. The change came from the ability to actually watch an injury occur with motion videofluoroscopy (from which DMX is based). Digital motion x-ray has become a valuable part of treatment for whiplash and other injuries.
In addition to private practice, Drs. Whitelaw and Walker serve as the team Chiropractors for the University of Arkansas Men's sports program. They treat and travel extensively with all the men's teams. They are proud to be a part of the medical team keeping the Razorbacks healthy.
